The Bosskrinda Library is the stump of a relic of a forgotten legend. There is no need for caution when the mind attempts to grasp all that has been lost. Throw caution to the wind and embrace the decay, the rot, the mulching of galactic knowledge.
Arrogance caused mortals to claim the galaxy conquered. Some few even, more then jokingly, spoke of the rest of the universe yet unclaimed. But the rulers drew an ellipsoid around the galactic map to mark the end of existence as far as they were concerned. Well, the end of eyrh anyway.
The planet on which this stump rots was cultivated to be the capital of a new galactic order which would be built on the foundations of the decadent and bloated slavaer empire, which was slowly inexorably falling apart. Great plans were laid—great wars were waged, and finally the coup succeeded.
The slavaer houses were stripped of their most potent might, of both hyvn and eyrh. A tomb was built on this capital to be, this most unique and special of planets. In the tomb was placed much if not most of the might of an entire galactic empire. For safe keeping, it was said. For the time when the new order is ripe to begin.
But the best plans laid by the mightiest of hands are no more likely to be perfect then the universe is to be perfectly predictable. These great planners hastened the inevitable fall, and instead of pushing a rebound of their precise design, they found themselves dead or dieing almost all.
The House of Screams, after which the library is named, survived. Minor before, but grand after, it tried to preserve the grand plan. But the seeming curse against the houses found it eventually and it fell.
But something survived in the ruins of the estate. Something with enough will to build what would be the first of a long line of libraries upon the ruins. The Bosskrinda Library of current times is not precisely unique nor is it known for having the best collection. Though it is the oldest, the mother, the three others spread to far corners, are better in every way that matters.
However, none of them will have the most important duty, preserving that which when combined with the items of the tomb and a populace ready to use them would create the new order with this planet as its capital.
