Druels are artificially altered and evolutionary catalyzed humans of the planet Dross using alien bioscience. They are different enough to be outside the human median. They are not to be confused with the higher class vins that used only "clean" science to genetically adapt to subterranean life. Blessed are declared druels as an insult, but they are high class in states such as Shay. Trolls are ugly rogues shunned by society that haven't necessarily been influenced by anything alien. For many troll is interchangable with druel as an insult.
