The oligarchy that truely rules found out that Bowery wasn't the passive poster boy they had hired him to be. So he was banished with a contract on his head to seal the deal.

genetically altered line that has infrared vision (heat
sensitive vision) instead of normal vision. Is a
mercenary/bountyhunter/assassin/murderer/thief.
He has a number of sibilings and several mates that
have given him 8 children, 6 of which are still alive.
He is a wonderful father, even by human median
standards he would be seen as very caring/supportive
good provider and protector. He, like the typical
member of his artificially created race, is illiterate.
Knowledge is passed orally, and so is full with
hidden wisdom and gross literal inaccuracies.

universe before birth. As this is one of the illegal
practices that forced them to leave Earth in the first
place they only do this to a few children (between
5-10%) who have the best genetic indicators for the
key positions they will hold through the second
universe.
Oyoryo is young at 51 by One and Twelve standards.
She had progressed steadily up the ranks until she got
her sentry command at 30, which starts at 5th Class.
This was her dream job, and her Handlers
(Councilors/surrogate parents--Dream Children are
children of the nation and their birth parents
surrender any special claim to them) agreed it was a
good choice within the relatively narrow focus they
had raised her for.
