Opening
There is a forest avoided. Forgotten why exactly. Perfectly secluded the Pravidians decide upon it. On the open land next to the forbidden forest, as the home of their prototype colony. The Pravidians have been warned that a new age is coming. That their mystic beliefs will bring heaven to earth. That the age of dreams will truly come, not just in the form of lies like the second universe.
Two full millenniums have passed since the second universe began its humble origins as the Internet. In truth it is the Ayrt and began with the first creative thoughts from life. The second universe is the finest representation of Ayrt in Eyrh. Other worlds, rivals in life have their temples to Ayrt, but none have as yet slipped this much into it. And it is a place rich enough in potential to see rival with the universes of Eyrh, Hyvn, and Myst. This portion of Ayrt potential of human origin is unique enough to be called by it’s own name, Haol. But that is the future early, for now it is only the second, Eyrh being the first universe. But in truth Ayrt, Myst, Hyvn, or Eyrh could have been first, if there was ever a beginning.
Hyvn is the home of Powyr in Fae, home of Gods and their children. Myst is the mystic dreams of life while living and while dead, with Graeyness abounding. Eyrh is the physical home of things, a place of strict laws, bent only by their connection to another universe or to the Mother. The Mother being a being not yet to be revealed here.
Earth has a place and representation in all the universes. The world of man and his twisted will. The Pravidians live like the other humans on Earth in this age. Spending most of their lives in the second universe. Hyvn sleeps. Myst has never been greater. Eyrh grows wild. The other worlds of life settling into patterns of nature. The last hope of something else. The potential humans have. Is being lost. The people sleeping, living their lives only with their minds. Connected and freed by technology, but slaves by the endless memories of the dead that live on in their virtual creations.
Chapter One: The Gray Man
An empty place. Not just of things interesting, but of everything. Anything that comes here is aware of nothing that it does not bring with it. The law of nothing enforced by Eyrh by extension into the second universe.
Light comes. Not from a direction. Not from any point or perspective. The nothing just becomes light. Figures exist here now. Twelve robed in a circle floating. The light gains perspective, with something to illuminate. Coming from everywhere, the light leaves no shadows, but the hooded faces remain dark. The light denied entrance. No movement. Reality exists in moments, this reality is frozen till something changes again.
In the precise center of the circle white light grows. From the single point shining out, giving the robed figures relative shadows. Still not piercing their hoods. A baby boy is makes the light. Small as a pin top relative to the twelve, he grows. The circle moves about him like clock, or he moves around like a top. This reality doesn’t yet have enough o judge such things by the standards of Eyrh.
Twelve voices begin a hum, all the same tone. Staying the same. Nothing else changes, another moment has come. A thirteenth voice speaks. Coming as the first light did. To everywhere from everywhere.
“We begin. I call to order the Thirteen. As One I do so by right, as the first I do so out of necessity. Welcome to my doorstep. The entity you see before you I have named Haol. He is the seed you will build off of. I believe he may be the one we have spent so long trying to create. The one who will tell us what we need to do.
“Draw upon our memories of life, draw open the people that live in each of your facets of the second universe. Focus on lives before virtual reality replaced reality. Don’t try and make the perfect life. Borrow upon stories, the classics, not the popular. Remember we need a true voice. A voice we can trust speaking the heart of humanity with the wisdom of lives lived.”
