Go Back

Oh My Darling Duck

The best thing that every happened to me was falling in love with this beauty.

Leaf in the air

Her heart is big enough for the whole of me to fit in. It is a primal comfort to be so loved. I knew that living life without a mate was half a life, but before her I had resigned myself to that fate. If my luck holds she will come back to me and we will start a family.

In my mind's eye I see a white picket fence around a picturesque pond. Ducklings all in a line follow their glorious mother. It is a dream and I am afraid now that I have something to dream for. Before it was a simply life, empty but simple—safe. Now though I worry. What will the world conspire to do to stop me from building this happiness?

I have something to fight for now.

I have requited love.
